Matt Glickman

Matt Glickman, Chief Executive Officer

Matt Glickman is CEO and co-founder of Merced Systems.  He has over 15 years of management experience in the software industry and in building successful software companies. Prior to Merced, Glickman was CEO of consumer retailer BabyCenter, Inc., the leading eCommerce company in its category. BabyCenter is currently a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

Previously, Glickman led the development of Intuit's Quicken software product line. He has also served as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies at Bain & Company. Glickman graduated an Arjay Miller Scholar from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also holds an M.A. from the Stanford School of Education and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Amherst College.

Mark Selcow

Mark Selcow, President

Mark Selcow is President and co-founder of Merced Systems. Previously, Selcow was President of Consumer Health Interactive, a software company focused on the health insurance industry, and co-founded BabyCenter, serving as the company's President.

Selcow held previous positions at Amgen and at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Brown University. Selcow is a National Trustee and Board Member of the March of Dimes Foundation.

Dejan Deklich




Dejan Deklich, Chief Technology Officer

Dejan Deklich is Chief Technology Officer at Merced Systems. He has more than 15 years of experience in strategic evaluation and implementation of new technologies,  research and development of new products and technologies for web scale problems, and leading technical teams to reach critical milestones.   Dejan joined Merced Systems from Attributor where he was responsible for engineering, operations and R&D. He was the driving force behind bringing Hadoop and BigData approach to data processing to Attributor and developing a super scalable system that can handle tens of billions of documents. The system is now used by the largest publishing companies worldwide.

Prior to joining Attributor, Dejan was at Yahoo Research scaling and extending the advertising platform, and at IBM where he held various roles at IBM research in the U.S. and China.
Dejan holds various degrees in Physics and Computer Science from Universitaet Bremen and Santa Clara University.

Harold Goldberg




Harold Goldberg, Chief Marketing Officer

Harold Goldberg is the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Strategy at Merced Systems. Goldberg brings more than 25 years experience in senior marketing, strategy and sales roles at top-tier organizations.

Prior to Merced Systems, Goldberg was CEO of Zend Technologies, the leading open source company behind PHP. Goldberg came to Zend from BMC software were he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Corporate Strategy for BMC Software. Goldberg joined BMC as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Business Strategy for Remedy, where he played a key role in BMC's acquisitions of Magic Solutions, Marimba and Viadyne – and in Remedy's acquisition by BMC. Prior to Remedy, Goldberg held a number of senior sales and marketing positions at Siemens, Ring Medical and Sudbury Systems inc.

Goldberg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Political Sciences from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, and a Master of Arts in International Political Economics from New York University in New York City.

Martin Green




Martin Green, Vice President of EMEA

Martin Green is the Vice President of Merced Systems, EMEA, responsible for all sales and business operations for Merced’s EMEA customers. Green has over 15 years of experience in sales and general management, leading businesses in Enterprise Software and Customer Experience Management solutions.

Prior to Merced Systems, Green was Vice President EMEA for Satmetrix, the co-developer of Net Promoter Score (NPS). While at Satmetrix he introduced the NPS metric and discipline to Satmetrix’s EMEA accounts and steered the business to its leadership position in the Customer Experience Management sector. Prior to Satmetrix, he held several Sales and Account Management positions at consulting firms in both the US and UK, including Burke, TNS/WPP and GFK.

Green received a Bsc in Economics from London University, as well as a tri-lingual Masters in International Business from Université de Savoire, Chambery; Fachhochschule des Saarlandes, Saarbrucken, and De Montfort University, Leicester.

Paul Melmon




Paul Melmon, Vice President of Engineering

Paul Melmon is Vice President of Engineering at Merced Systems. Melmon has more than 20 years of experience in strategic technical and business alignment, growing technology partnerships, product development, and developing mission critical operations for web based activities. Melmon joined Merced Systems from Hyperic (now part of VMware) where he was responsible for running engineering, support and product management.  He was instrumental in bringing agile development to Hyperic and extending Hyperic HQ into a scalable web infrastructure management solution used by several of the largest web properties. He also lead and championed the company’s strategic effort to develop for and support the top cloud computing platforms.

Prior to joining Hyperic, Melmon was vice president of corporate and business development at Wily, a provider of application management solutions, and CIO at Pets.com. Melmon also worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Sutter Hill Ventures and has held engineering and management positions at Wallop Software, Scopus Technology, Sybase and Hewlett-Packard.

Melmon received his BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of California at Davis.

Dean Thomas




Dean Thomas, Vice President of Client Services

Dean Thomas is Vice President of Client Services at Merced Systems. He has more than 15 years of experience in delivering enterprise software solutions for customers as diverse as CNN Interactive, SCOR Re, Time Inc., R.R. Donnelley and BAE Systems. During his career, Thomas has managed large-scale software projects and led world-class implementation and technical support teams both domestically and internationally, serving enterprise customers in the United States, South East Asia, the UK and Continental Europe.

Before joining Merced Systems, Thomas led the client service organization for Intalio, an innovative and market-leading Business Process Management System company, built and ran the service organization for DoubleClick and served in a variety of senior management positions at Accenture. Thomas has a degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon.

Jim Wilson




Jim Wilson, Vice President of Sales

Jim Wilson is Vice President of Sales at Merced Systems. He has over 15 years of experience leading sales organizations in enterprise application software companies. Most recently, Wilson was the Director of Sales at Microsoft, where he oversaw Commercial Sales Operations for Groove Networks, a recently acquired subsidiary. Prior to the acquisition by Microsoft, he was responsible for all Commercial sales at Groove Networks.

During his career, Wilson has held key sales leadership positions at Inktomi, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2003, and at Parametric Technology Corporation. As Vice President of Sales at Parametric Technology Corporation, Wilson was responsible for developing and managing the direct sales force and distributor channel across the Asia Pacific region as well as launching the company's first Product Lifecycle Management Product.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science Dual Major in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

David Wittenkamp




David Wittenkamp, Chief Financial Officer

David Wittenkamp is CFO at Merced Systems. He has more than 20 years experience in both finance and general management roles. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Dealix Corporation, the leading provider of internet-based sales leads to the automotive industry.

During his career, Wittenkamp has held a variety of executive positions including CFO for The 3DO Company and COO for Ericsson Webcom, Inc. He has successfully co-founded two companies, Touchwave which was acquired by LM Ericsson of Sweden, and PhaseOne, Inc.

Wittenkamp has applied for U.S. and international patents in the telecommunications field as a sole inventor. He served in the Danish Armed Forces, finishing as Battalion Deputy Commander, Major (R), and earned his Master of Science in Economics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
